Princess Belle is holding a royal feast, and you are invited to join her. The banquet is being held at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion, a recreation of the medieval Akershus Castle and Fortress located in Oslo, Norway. This character meal is a treat for anyone who loves Disney Princesses or the delicious tastes of Scandinavian cuisine.

1. How Much Does It Cost?

Dining at Akershus is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Adult meals cost between $35-$59.99, depending on when you are dining. Children’s costs run slightly less, though pricing is not listed on Walt Disney World’s official site. Reservations are not technically required, but highly recommended. Reservations can be made 180 days prior to your visit.

2. Who Can You Meet?

When Guests first enter the restaurant, a Disney Cast Member will usher you into a room for a special one-on-one meeting with Princess Belle. During the course of your meal, a variety of princesses will come around to each table in the restaurant to take photographs and sign autograph books. The princesses regularly in attendance include Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Ariel. The princesses will also lead young guests on a processional march through the restaurant.

3. What Can You Eat?

Dining at Akershus features Norwegian cuisine. For breakfast, this includes foods like the Norwegian Smorgasbord featuring salami, peppered mackerel, Gjetost cheese, dilled salmon gravlax, and smoked pork loin. Breakfast also features more typical breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and a potato casserole.

Lunch and Dinner both feature “A Taste of Norway,” a buffet style appetizer including a variety of cured and sliced meats, cheeses, salads, and seafood. Entrees include things like:

Tradisjonell Kjøttkake, Norwegian meatballs with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and lingonberry sauce
Raspeballer, a Scandinavian potato dumpling with zucchini, leeks, peas, and mushrooms served in a coconut-curry sauce
Svinestek med Frukt, a Seared Pork Tenderloin with apricot glaze, multigrain pilaf, sautéed mushrooms, and an asparagus and tomato salad.

The meal ends with the Royal Chef’s Dessert Plate, which features a variety of Norwegian inspired desserts.

Vegetarian meals options are available, as is a children’s menu (featuring foods like Norwegian meatballs, macaroni and cheese, pizza, salmon and grilled chicken breast). Guests with specific food allergies can contact Walt Disney World Dining prior to their visit to arrange an allergy friendly option. The entire menu can be viewed on Walt Disney World’s official web page.

4. Dining Plans

Meals at Akershus count as one table service credit, so Guests can use the Disney Dining or Disney Deluxe plans to pay for their meal.

5. PhotoPass

Disney photographers will be at the meal to capture your meeting with Belle. These photographs are available for individual purchase or are included in the Disney PhotoPass package.
